Shani is a platform for celebrating some unique aspect of community, orchard and its traditions. It provides hands-on entertainment, which was particularly important to local communities before the advent of mass-produced entertainment. It also tries to highlight and symbolize the significant aspect of tradition which has been forgotten.

ABSTRACT
Traditional orchards are the archetype of sustainable agriculture: low inputs and low pressure on the environment and high quality produce. They are part of our cultural heritage, a beautiful landscape feature and have immense biodiversity value. Traditional farming was the original type of agriculture, and has been practiced for thousands of years.
Traditional orchards are under threat | Nearly 55 percent of traditional orchards in Qazvin region-Iran have been vanished since 30 years ago. The process of disappearance is stunning and dramatic, Many traditional orchards have disappeared and the rest, remain in a neglected condition. Losing traditional orchard means losing tasty fruit, customs and traditions, places for recreation and non renewable genetic resources.
MAIN GOALS
Preserve and regenerate traditional orchards and improve their condition through recalling the value of traditional orchards by highlighting specific feature of their product to strength consumer emotional connection with traditional orchard products and supporting traditional orchard farmers in local area is the main goals of this thesis.
